Ioannis Vardoulakis

Dr Sarris Ernestos is an Associate Professor at the department of engineering at the Oil & Gas and Civil engineering programme of the University of Nicosia. He is the director of the petrophysics and the soil mechanics laboratories. He holds a PhD in petroleum geomechanics with applications of the hydraulic fracturing technique from the University of Cyprus. His areas of specialization and future focus is on Petroleum Geomechanics which include: Petroleum related rock mechanics, hydraulic fracturing, sanding prediction and control, wellbore stability, multiphase flows with applications in CO2 geological storage, enhanced oil recovery EOR and Indentation mechanics.
